Two AAA batteries come in the box and last about 6 months, and the display also shows battery level and room temperature. A 60-inch measuring tape is included for waist and hip measurements.

Questions about the Smart Body Scale
How accurate are the body fat and muscle readings?
Treat them as estimates and watch the trend. The weight reading comes from 4 sensors in 0.2 lb steps; body fat, muscle and water come from a small electrical signal through the 4 electrodes, which shifts with hydration and time of day. Weigh at the same time each day, barefoot with clean, dry feet, on a hard, flat floor (not carpet), as the listing advises.
Do I need the app?
Only for the body measurements. The LCD shows your weight on its own; BMI, body fat and the other 16 measurements appear in the free OKOK app, which also charts your progress and syncs with Apple Health and Fitbit.
How many people can use one scale?
The OKOK app keeps up to 7 family profiles for free, and up to 15 with its paid VIP subscription. Each person gets their own history and charts.
Can anyone use the body fat feature?
Makers of body composition scales generally advise anyone with a pacemaker or another implanted medical device, and anyone who is pregnant, not to use the electrode measurements. Weighing alone is fine; ask your doctor if you are unsure.
Which smart scale should I choose?
