Questions about the KL61 Mechanical Keyboard
Which style choices does the KL61 Mechanical Keyboard come in?
6 style choices: Black Green Switch, White Cherry MX Blue, Black Red Switch, White Red Switch, Black White Red Switch, White Black Red switches. All of them are in stock right now. Pick one above before you add it to the cart.
Which switch should I choose on the KL61?
Pick by feel and noise. The green and blue switch styles are clicky: each press has a bump you can feel and a click you can hear, which many people like for typing. Green switches are usually a little heavier to press than blue. The red switch styles are linear: they press smoothly with no bump or click and make less noise, a common choice for gaming or a shared room.
Is the KL61 wireless?
No. The supplier lists the KL61 as a single-mode board, so it connects by USB cable only and needs no battery or pairing. If you want wireless, the Aluminum Tri-Mode Mechanical Keyboard connects over USB-C, Bluetooth or 2.4G.
How is the KL61 different from the NJ61 and the NC61?
All three are wired 61-key boards. The KL61 is the one with a choice of clicky or linear switches. The NJ61 Hollow Keyboard shows its RGB through an open side frame and adds a detachable USB-C cable and Windows and Mac modes. The NC61 Magnetic-Switch Keyboard uses magnetic switches with adjustable actuation for fast key presses. The keyboard comparison lines them up side by side.
Does a 61-key keyboard have arrow keys?
Not as separate keys. A 61-key (60%) layout keeps the letters, numbers and modifiers and drops the arrow keys, function row and number pad; you reach those through a layer you hold with the Fn key. If you use arrows all day, a 65-key board keeps them. Our compact mechanical keyboard guide explains each layout.
